New Board Directors Join the NSCA Foundation as It Looks Toward 100 Years

Email :279

As the NSCA Foundation moves into an exciting new chapter, we are proud to welcome three outstanding new members to our Board of Directors: Theodora Cambouris, Kristen Raison and Richard Turner. Each brings a depth of experience in governance, strategy and workplace health and safety that will help shape the Foundation’s direction as we approach a significant milestone — our centenary in 2027.

Theodora Cambouris joins the Board with more than 25 years’ experience in strategy, portfolio and marketing leadership across Australia’s banking and insurance sectors. After 15 years with Insurance Australia Group, Theodora has spent over a decade at Suncorp leading strategic initiatives within its Commercial and Personal Injury division. She is passionate about workplace health and safety, mentoring and age diversity, and co-chairs Suncorp’s Life X employee resource group.

Kristen Raison, Co-Founder of Humn, brings almost three decades of executive leadership across finance, governance, workplace health and safety and organisational transformation. With more than 18 years of board experience, Kristen currently serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Governance, Risk and Audit Committee for Asthma Australia, and has previously held board roles with St Andrew’s Hospital Foundation, State Theatre Company South Australia and Balco Australia.

Richard Turner is the Global Head of Health, Safety, Security and Environment at Toll Group, where he has championed a “Safety Obsessed” culture across the organisation. With over 20 years’ executive experience in HSSE, Richard has held senior leadership roles across manufacturing, construction, industrial services, waste management, and transport and logistics, with a track record of driving cultural change through behaviour-based safety programs.

“We are delighted to welcome Theodora, Kristen and Richard to our Board,” said Bernie Doyle, President and Chairman of the NSCA Foundation. “Each of them brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for safer workplaces, and their appointments reflect the calibre of leadership we are building as the Foundation moves into an important new chapter.”

These appointments come at a pivotal time for the Foundation, as we continue to evolve our strategic direction and prepare to mark 100 years of service to Australian workplaces in 2027.

“There is a lot happening behind the scenes as we invest in the people and strategy that will carry this organisation into its next century,” Mr Doyle said. “We look forward to sharing more with our members very soon.”

The NSCA Foundation’s Board now comprises Bernie Doyle (President and Chairman), Ray Thurlow (Vice-President), and Directors Theodora Cambouris, Bill Kritharas, Kristen Raison and Richard Turner.
