A Healthy Workforce Makes for Healthy Business

Workplace injuries, illnesses, stress and burnout are affecting thousands of Australians – even in seemingly low-risk environments – with an estimated annual cost to our economy exceeding $61.8 billion.

Joint/muscle injuries, and musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases, collectively accounted for almost 70,000 claims between 2022-23 (SafeWork Australia). Meanwhile, work-related mental injuries are increasing, representing 18% of all new Work Cover claims between 2023-24 (up from 16% in 2022-23, according to WorkSafe Victoria).

The government is intensifying its efforts to address workplace safety, introducing new regulations, ramping up workplace inspections, and enforcing penalties for non-compliance.

“Keeping workers safe is more complex than ever. With evolving regulations, emerging risks and the growing demand for innovative solutions, workplace health and safety professionals need to stay informed and equipped to protect their teams. The Workplace Health and Safety Show is their opportunity to find the answers,” says Stephen Blackie, Portfolio Manager of the Show.

Going beyond compliance

“Workplace Health and Safety Show redefines what a healthy, safe and productive workplace looks like,”. “This is where forward-thinking workplace leaders connect to share key insights and actionable strategies to create safer, healthier work environments”.

The Show takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 21 to 22 May 2025, and registration is free.

At the Show exhibition, 180+ leading suppliers will showcase cutting-edge safety equipment, PPE, AI-driven solutions and automation tools, making it easy to discover and source the solutions to safety challenges.

The Show also offers over 40 hours of free educational content, with tailored CPD seminars, workshops and panel discussions that shed light on evolving regulations and actionable strategies to address mental health and improve safety culture.
