The NSCA Foundation has announced the finalists for the 33rd Annual National Safety Awards of Excellence, with some of Australia’s most recognised organisations among those vying for honours at the Gala Dinner in Sydney this November.
Presented in partnership with naming sponsor HSI Donesafe, the awards recognise outstanding work health and safety initiatives across eleven categories, open to organisations and individuals from any industry across Australia and New Zealand.
This year’s finalists were selected by an independent judging panel based on demonstrated innovation, commitment to safety as a business priority, measurable return on investment, and exemplary WHS standards within their industries.
Major organisations appearing across the finalist list include Bunnings Group, Lendlease, Commonwealth Bank, Fortescue, Sydney Airport, NSW Police Force, APA Group, Bupa, Metcash and VENTIA — with BMD Group earning finalist recognition in three separate categories.
The eleven award categories span Best Continuous Improvement of a WHS Management System, Best Solution of a WHS Risk (Small-Medium and Large Business), Best WHS Training Program, Best Communication of a Safety Message, Best Individual WHS Achievement (the Ian Chisholm Award), Best Safety Leadership Program, Best Wellbeing Program, Best Return and Recovery at Work System, Best Solution for Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work, Best WHS Commercial Product or Service Innovation, and Best Safety Team.
The coveted Pinnacle Award — the highest honour across all categories — will be revealed live at the Gala Dinner.
