Australia’s longest-running independent workplace safety awards programme has officially entered a new year of nominations, with submissions now open for the 30th Annual National Safety Awards of Excellence.

Presented by the NSCA Foundation and principal partner HSI Donesafe, the awards recognise outstanding individuals, teams, and organisations across Australia and New Zealand who are making a genuine impact on work health and safety. Open to businesses of any size and sector — public or private — the programme continues to set the benchmark for WHS excellence across the country.

Now in their 30th year, the awards celebrate everything from groundbreaking safety initiatives and innovative solutions to the kind of consistent, day-to-day dedication that keeps workers safe. Categories span a wide range of WHS focus areas, and entrants are encouraged to review the full list at the National Safety Awards website to find the best fit for their initiative or programme.

Nominations can be submitted via the online portal at nationalsafetyawards.com.au. The NSCA Foundation encourages organisations to get in early — preparation of a strong submission takes time, and entries must be submitted through the online system with all required fields completed.

Winners will be celebrated at the annual gala dinner, with their stories shared nationally through the NSCA Foundation’s National Safety Online news platform — giving recognised organisations significant industry exposure.
