Sustainable Safety Gloves Supporting an Inclusive Future

Email :573

At Ansell, safety is at the heart of everything we do. For more than 130 years, we’ve protected workers around the world with advanced personal protective equipment (PPE) — from industrial settings to healthcare environments. Today, Ansell operates in over 100 countries and is trusted by professionals globally to deliver safety solutions that perform when it matters most.

Our mission is simple: to lead the world to a safer future. Our products are designed to protect against mechanical hazards, chemical risks, and biological exposures — helping teams stay productive, compliant, and confident in high-risk environments.

From our industry-leading HyFlex™ and MICRO-TOUCH™ gloves to innovations in ergonomics and sustainable manufacturing, Ansell is recognised for combining world-class performance with purpose-driven design. What sets us apart is how we use our global reach not just to innovate, but to create meaningful, lasting change — through the way we source, manufacture, and support communities.

Because at Ansell, protection means more than just PPE — it’s about people, and the communities they belong to.

Embedding Purpose Into Protection

Through our Australian Indigenous Program, launched in 2021, we’ve committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through partnerships that foster real opportunity. This is part of a broader shift at Ansell — integrating corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability into how we operate, from product design to community investment.

Our latest Indigenous campaign brings together safety and social impact — a reflection of our belief that the choices we make every day can support something bigger.

Gloves with a Story — and a Purpose

As part of the initiative, Ansell is directing a portion of proceeds from the sale of four of our most trusted gloves to help fund programs that empower the next generation.

Each glove in the Indigenous Program range also features original packaging artwork by Kristina Taylor, a proud Kamilaroi and Ngarrabul artist. First commissioned by Ansell in 2021, Kristina’s work captures cultural identity, connection, and storytelling — values deeply embedded in this initiative.

The glove packaging designs are themed around Land, Sea, Sky, and Connection — linking the product experience to deeper cultural meaning. It’s one more way we aim to ensure Indigenous culture is seen, respected, and celebrated — even in industrial settings where safety is the focus.

The range includes:

  • HyFlex 11-840
A durable general-purpose glove with 2× more grip and up to 20% greater abrasion resistance.*
  • HyFlex 11-561
Our lightest Cut Level C glove, offering advanced protection and all-day dexterity.*
  • HyFlex 11-571
An ultra-light Cut Level D glove built for flexibility — ideal for high-risk precision tasks.
  • MICRO-TOUCH Blue Nitrile
A comfortable, single-use glove offering reliable splash protection and fit for all-day wear.

*Compared to earlier generation gloves made with standard HPPE yarn.

Why The Stars Foundation?

Ansell has selected the Stars Foundation as the latest partner in our Australian Indigenous Program, reflecting our broader commitment to social responsibility and community impact. The Stars Foundation is a national not-for-profit delivering full-time, in-school mentoring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women.

By supporting the Stars Foundation, we’re contributing to community-led initiatives that help young women complete school, build confidence, and prepare for their futures — while strengthening cultural identity along the way.

The campaign’s message — Connected Hands, Shared Light — represents our belief that protection and purpose go hand in hand. When businesses, workers, and communities come together, we can create far more than products. We can create progress.

Embedding Sustainability Into Action

This partnership also reflects our broader sustainability goals.

In FY24, Ansell advanced our environmental and social commitments — reducing operational emissions, improving supply chain transparency, and increasing support for employee and community wellbeing.

Whether it’s sustainable glove manufacturing or funding education and mentorship for First Nations students, we’re embedding purpose into every part of our work.

Choosing Ansell means joining a bigger story — one rooted in safety, and built with purpose.

Join the Movement

Whether you’re a procurement professional, safety manager, or business owner, your purchasing decisions can have impact beyond the workplace.

When you choose gloves from Ansell’s Australian Indigenous Program, you’re not only protecting your team — you’re also helping fund education, mentoring, and leadership pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls across the country.

Together, we’re building safer workplaces and brighter futures.
